About Channel 5 Video

Established in 1983 Channel 5 is the country's oldest wholesaler of home entertainment starting with the old VHS format, evolving through DVD and looking forward to the future with Hi Definition Blu Ray. We have been supplying convenience stores and specialist video outlets throughout the country for over 26 years and are proud to be one of the few remaining suppliers to the trade.

Our own store in Midsomer Norton was established also in 1983 a little further down the road and we moved into our existing premises in 1988, expanding into a larger store with office space above and a car park at the rear. We opened our second store in 1987 at Elm Tree Avenue in Westfield and also opened stores in Street and Shepton Mallet which were subsequently sold on. In March 2011, we were delighted to open our new store in Bath.

The change in the demograph of DVD rental has seen many changes to our own stores which now stock many items such as drinks, confectionery, game accessories, Spongebob and Hello Kitty merchandise to name a few.
